Here in Sweden we are in desperate need of good developers. We have plenty of good startups and tech companies, plenty of good entrepreneurs and plenty of good business ideas. We also, overall, have money enough to pay a decent, or even very good, salary. But we have no developers. (Ok, we have developers, but we need more)
In the same time, somewhere else in the world, in Lebanon for example, or in the Middle East in general, there are plenty of good developers, plenty of people that would love to come to Sweden and start a life here. Maybe work in our tech companies.
I met Jerry Maher today, a journalist from Lebanon that founded Radio Sawt Beirut. He told me all this (about people from Middle East that would love to come to Sweden/ Europe). And I told him about the lack of developers here. We were thinking that we might do something about it. Should we? Why shouldn't we? I would love to have people from all over the world in my company. The only thing that is important is that you are good at what you do, are engaged to the product and have some sense of humor. Bring'em (the developers) on!
